Bootimage Upgrade To EPE 4
This article is a Matrix42 Add-On tool to upgrade an existing Empirum Bootimage to EPE 4. The EPE 4 supports primarily OS installations for Intel Skylake and Kaby-Lake hardware.
We offer 2 different EPE versions for download. The difference is in the GRUB version. The 4.5.x has an older GRUB version than the 4.7.x. Nevertheless there are manufacturers and models that works with an older GRUB version and not with the newer one. The last version always shows the feature status.
With the product release 18.0.3 it is possible to import (as any other operating system or Windows ADK) and configure EPE 4 within the Empirum Management Console. However older versions can still be added to the system using the known mechanism via Powershell script.
Please check the how-to tutorial for pre-requisites and limitations within the Online-Help.
